Side Tables That Hold Their Corner

Small in footprint. Uncompromising in everything else.

A side table is the most democratic piece of furniture in a room — it goes wherever it's needed, does what's asked of it, and rarely gets the credit. But a well-designed side table is also one of the first things a visitor notices: the one beside the sofa that holds exactly the right lamp, the one in the drawing room corner that somehow makes the whole arrangement work. At Mohh, we build them to deserve that attention.

Proportion Is Everything

The difference between a side table design that works and one that doesn't is almost always proportion. Height relative to the sofa arm or bed. Surface area relative to what you actually put on it. Visual weight relative to everything around it. Our modern side tables in wood and metal are designed from those relationships outward — which is why they tend to fit without fuss in rooms they were never designed for specifically.

From Drawing Room to Bedside

Our side table designs move between rooms without apology. A piece that works as a living room side table beside a sofa will often work just as well as a bedside table — same proportions, same material quality, same considered design. That versatility is intentional. A designer side table at this level shouldn't be a single-use purchase. FAQs

What is the right height for a bedside table?

A bedside table should ideally be level with or slightly higher than your mattress surface. Most mattresses with a bed frame sit at 55–65 cm from the floor — so a bedside table height of 55–70 cm is typically ideal. Check individual product heights on each Mohh listing before purchasing.

What is the difference between a side table and an end table?

The terms are often used interchangeably. "Side table" usually refers to a small table placed beside a sofa or chair in the living room. "End table" typically sits at the end of a sofa. "Bedside table" or "nightstand" refers to a side table placed beside the bed. Mohh's side table collection suits all three placements.

What size side table works best next to a sofa?

A side table next to a sofa should be approximately the same height as the sofa's armrest — usually 55–65 cm tall. Width is less critical, but a surface of at least 35–40 cm gives enough room for a drink, lamp, or book.

Do Mohh side tables come in sets?

Some Mohh side tables are available as individual pieces and some as sets of two — ideal for matching bedside tables on either side of a bed. Check individual product pages for set options or contact us for pairing recommendations.
