Cincinnati, March 2025 – The Reds have one of the deepest farm systems in baseball, and several of their top prospects are knocking on the door of the major leagues. Leading the way is Edwin Arroyo Christian Encarnacion-Strand Jersey, a slick-fielding shortstop acquired in the Luis Castillo trade. Arroyo has continued to develop offensively and is expected to start the year in Triple-A, but he could force his way into the Reds’ plans with a strong showing. Meanwhile, Connor Phillips Shogo Akiyama Jersey, one of the top pitching prospects in the organization, is pushing for a rotation spot. The hard-throwing righty struck out 11.4 batters per nine innings in the minors last year and could be the first arm called up if injuries hit the rotation. Outfielder Blake Dunn is another name to watch. The 25-year-old put up impressive numbers in Double-A Chattanooga last year and is considered one of the most well-rounded hitters in the system. "We want to make sure our young guys are ready, but they will get their chances," said GM Nick Krall. "We believe in the depth of this organization, and these guys will be part of our future." With a strong farm system, the Reds are set up for sustainable success, even if they fall short of the playoffs in 2025.
